Who we are

Founded in 2021 by a group of women living in the United States and Canada, Optima Gold Radio quickly became known for its quality programming with professional shows that covered a variety of topics. Guests from across the globe included former athlete, philanthropist and billionaire Dr. Trisha Bailey, Lieutenant governor of Connecticut Susan Bysiewicz, centenarians, educators, politicians, and ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things inside and outside of their communities. Guest hosts include a Nurse Practitioner and a Maternity Healthcare professional addressing issues like healthcare disparities. The station offers music in various genres and crosses the generational divide in entertainment. With both live and prerecorded entertainment, the station provides something for everyone. With skits and short plays, Optima Gold Radio is the ultimate in listening experience.

We pride ourselves in offering quality programming and musical entertainment twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week.

Optima Gold Radio aims to provide an enriching and inspiring experience with a mix of news, views, musical entertainment, and cultural, educational, and community affairs programming. Our station provides an outlet for the many voices to be heard.

Meet our team

Thank you for tuning in to Optima Gold Radio (OGR). We are celebrating our fifth year in operation in 2026 and it has been an amazing journey. Our launch in 2021 was in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. For us, it was a “big deal” because as women, specifically mature women, we were venturing into unknown territory. We stepped forward in faith and incredible things began to happen as we watched our listenership grow. Our growth was not without challenges, but together we faced them head-on and pushed through.

To our many listeners, hosts, DJs, and guests, we say THANK YOU for your unwavering support. Five years of revolutionary shows, informative commentary, and revitalizing music is a “big deal” and we are proud of our accomplishments. We are looking forward to your continued support as we ELEVATE .
